He was the most scariest villains in the Indian Film History.
The evil laughter.
The scary eyes.
The heavy voice.
But above all he was a gr8 actor who did well in both positve and negative roles.
We will missya Mogambo.

OMG! Thats shocking! I hadnt even heard about it.He was a great actor. His presence in films will surely be missed.

Things are supposed to happen the way they happen. And the reason they happen the way the happen is because you try to make them happen in a certain way and may or may not be succesful.

The world has lost a versatile actor, moreso the Indians. He gave a new dimension to the idea of a 'Bollywood Villain with a twist of Comedy'.
Give him Any role - he would just slip into it and we can't even imagine anybody else in that particular role - not even in our wildest imaginations.
May his soul rest in peace and hope the industry and everybody recognises his contribution to the world of cinema.

RIP! He was one of my favourite Bollywood actors.
Here's my listing of some of his landmark appearances.
Shantata! Court Chalu Aahe : What a debut. The movie adaptation of Vijay Tendulkar's classic play in Marathi.
Nishant, Manthan & Kalyug : Shyam Benegal's trilogy on the social revolution in India.
Dostana, Qurbani, Hum Panch, Shakti, Vidhata, Hero, Andha Kanoon, Duniya, Meri Jung, Damini : Some movies that cemented his place in the industry as the archetypal villian (Smuggler, Hero/Heroine's father etc.)
Mr. India, Ajooba, Loha, Indiana Jones & The Temple of Doom : Some unique and scary getups as villians.
Reshma Aur Shera, Ardh Satya, Gandhi : He made his mark on parallel cinema too.
Muskurahat, Jhoot Bole Kauva Kaate, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Hulchul : Some of his comedies. they were absolute fun and he was great in them.

there was an insignificant Dharmender movie "Tahelka" in the early 90s in which the only memorable chracter was Amrish playing a Mogambo-ish dictator "Dong" and his line "Dong kabhi wrong nahin hota..." (the other sick but unforgettable sequence was watching naseeruddin shah, javed jaffrey and aditya pancholi in drag, that too in bikinis

h also plays the sitar in that movie.There was another movie called Muskurahat in which he, inspite of not being the central charecter dominated the proceedings.

No Mumbai screen villain barring the inimitable Pran ever managed to scale the dizzying heights of popularity that Amrish Puri did. He had a way of informing even sketchy, larger-than-life characters with a touch of believability, a trait that he obviously developed during his theatre and radio days.
Amrish Puri was a real star, a scene stealer of the highest order. No matter who he co-starred with, he rarely, if ever, failed to rise above them all and leave his stamp on a film. Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge was Shahrukh Khan and Kajol's film, but can Yash Chopra's biggest-ever hit be discussed without Amrish Puri's all-pervasive star turn being mentioned.
Strangely for an actor of his pedigree, Amrish Puri had to struggle for years to achieve success, but when he did, such was the power of his personality and the quality of his performances, that he never looked back.
The biggest films and the most sought after production banners were his for the asking. Unlike many of his contemporaries, who were stalked forever by a feeling insecurity, Puri chose his assignments carefully and that showed in the end results that he delivered on screen.
Amrish Puri, younger brother of Bollywood character actor Madan Puri, had his first screen test at the age of 22 but he was rejected on the grounds that his face was "too harsh" for a hero. That was 1954.
He bided his time essaying roles on the stage and lending his remarkable voice to jingles until Reshma Aur Shera (1971) fell on his lap. The film was critically acclaimed, but he was barely noticed.

He was amazing.
