hello this is a human body over here. i just cant reboot and get my blood flowing back into my system. oh god what has come of the world. CLINICAL FEATURES OF DENGUE FEVER
Generally 2 days malaise and head ache
Acute stage is as follows
Fever, backache, arthralgias, headache, generalised pains, pain on eye movement, lacrimation, loss of appetite, nausea, vomitting, relative bradicardia(reduced pulse rate with respect to fever) prostration, depression, lymph node enlargement
Regarding Fever
Continuous with break on fourth or fifth day.
usually lasts 7-8 days
Skin rash may develope
Blood tests
Leucopenia ( blood leucocytes will be reduced)
thrombocytopenia (reduced platelets)The virus can be recovered from the blood and there are tests for viral antigen and antibody.
HAVE YOU DONE YOUR BLOOD TEST?
Treatment
There is no specific treatment.The severe pains can be releived by paracetamol. but occasionally opiates are required.Aspirin should be avoided
Corticosteroids have not been shown to help.
No existing antivirals are effective.
In dengue heamorrhagic fever which you fear
there may be
Hypotension( drop in BP)
Nose bleed(epistaxis)
gasto intestinal bleeding
the traetment for this is not clear
dont worry you have not developed this stage.
If that stage comes chances of death by that is 10%
