You are very welcome to India.. and to the coolest city in the whole of India.. :D

I dont know how much sociologists make.. but I guess you can re-negotiate your terms once you are here... maybe some one who works as a sociologist can help you on the board.

Maybe I can give you an approx rundown of your costs in Hyderabad..

Rent for 1 Bedroom house in a good area - 4000 - 5000 Rs.

Food - 3000 - 4000 Rs @ approx 100 Rs per day.

Phone bill - 600 to 1000 Rs.

and Misc.. depends upon what you do.. :D

Currancy conversion : 1 American Dollar = 46 Rs (approx)

You do the math for your currancy.

Hope this helps.. :D

stereotypes

by joanna » Sun Aug 22, 2004 11:05 pm

I heard a lot of stereotypes about Your country. For You my questions may be funny-but I have heard that it will be hard for me to go alone for example to a movie, is it true? should I always be with someone?

naah, thrz no problem like tht. well, some cities could be an exception but thts for the entire fairer sex. Hyd is a much safer/saner place in tht respect. Wht i meant whn i asked u to keep in touch/get to knw the ppl b4 u come.. was to make sure u dun feel totally alienated

Joanna, Being DQ.. the always argumentive and Suspicious character around.

The above three statements are typical Hyderabadi / Andhraish.

If you are truly from Poland, you already fit in. So don't worry.

If not Imposter bhi bana nahi aata . Artham Chesikonu ?

I don't think warm clothes would be required..... at least I don't use them!! Sometimes it does get a little cold, but nothing like Poland, I'm sure.

Maybe if you just get some light stuff.......

About the movie thing you said, its absolutely OK going alone etc, no cause for concern.

Frankly, I don't know much about the party scene.

kenny would nt know much about the party scene.

at an average or above average club/bar, the cocktails would range anywhere from 150 Rs to 250 Rs, say around 3 to 5 euros. unless you find a group of guys trying their best to pick u up, which rarely happens. i was once warned by the owner/manager of the popular club in hyderabad when i was just trying to start a conversation with a chick there. oh well, it was about 8 months ago. i hope times have changed now. good luck!
