ok..juntha..here goes my long rant on why i feel fulhyd boards are getting really boring because of a silly little thing called "posts-count". didn't want to start a thread or anything 'cosit only vitiates the atmposphere which only pisses ppl off and wdn't return again to these amazing and active boards. as far as i can recollect, these boards gathered together the variety and diversity in this li'l town of ours called -hyderabad. FHDB had the best of both worlds... The Old Wordl Hyderabad folks with their shair-o-shayaree, the "hip-n-happening" crowd that comprised mostly of non-hyderabadi folks who are settled here to in pusuit of their career, and the youth of the city who have all the time and creativity to spare. but the way i see things now, its pretty silly... the past few weeks have seen members brainlessly post useless statements that makes no sense nor are they funny. All in the name of spam. Agreed some of them are good but not all.
this in turn seriously disallows entry of newer members and guests. I don't know how many ppl have been chased away b'cos all they find to read are a bunch of 20 ppl conversing with each other. And if you noticed, the only new members to hvae joined recently are mostly those from a certain section of our society. Ever paused and wondered how many threads requesting "help needed/job needed/looking for friends/ looking for plot" have turned into lousy spam-fests! only bcos the poor soul never bothered to chk where his/her thread was leading to...
as a final statement, u don't need to read this. All these "active threads" and "spamming" may not turn out to be as hazardous as i am prophecising. Probly many more guests and users will start using the boards and make it popular than ever before... who knows?
As any good marketing exec would put it - to maintain constant flux of customers, one must ensure quality at all times. So if the Grand Ol' Men and Women of Fullhyd.com are reading this, kindly take note of this detoriation in quality. once again, i am not directing this to any one person or member or thread. It finally boils down to how much fun one is having. if you think u are reaching a high by posting bullshit in the name of spam, go ahead and do so. there's noone to stop you. but jus remember - its very silly and does no-body any good
**phew** that was my 15-min ruminations on the fate of the FHDB. Kindly stop running behind the goddam "posts-count" and rather try utlising the time and resources on good discussion material.
