Hi guys ....
I am new to Hyd .. any1 has any pointers to cool places around here .... well I am sure it will help all the newbies too ... :-)

I know there are sites .. but first hand information is zus too kewl .. ;-)

hey vishal,
if you really want to have the essence of hydbad.. have some irani chai (half cup only) and biryani at paradise..and dont forget to have haleem during ramzan.

I am a hyderabadi settled elsewhere. Our hyderabadis can be so loving .. while i was a student, 4 of us friends went to visit the Zoo for the day. had a picnic pack and all. Had a sumptuous lunch ,well, thot so, while having, and went about again, seeing the animals and enjoying ourselves. Came across a very large Muslim family, sitting on a dastarkhan,lots of children and adults talking away and laughing, the aroma of hyderabadi biryani and what not,all pervading ! We could not take ourselves away from the surroundings how much ever we tried. we went and sat on a bench nearby just taking in the smells, cudn\'t help it vishal! The hyderbadi stuff is so good! finally, when they were beginning to pack off their stuff, I went, I ACTUALLY WENT AND ASKED THE OLDEST LADY THERE, THAT I WANT TO EAT WHAT THEY HAD ! she was so very cute, with her toothless grin she smiled and said,\" kyon nahi bete, tabhi aana tha, wahan jakar kyon baite the!?\" and gave all of us what they could and we hogged and hogged, literally. well, hyderabadis ! we love us.

I guess I made a great choice by choosing Hyderabad as my abode ... sounds like I have to do something u did one day ... well its been two weeks in hyd for me .. and i really like the place .. ppl tell me i havent seen the worse .. since the day i came i rained heavily and cooled down things ... :-)

well i guess i got lucky ... so am all set to make use of this luck

I gotta start by making a lot of frenz here ... :-)

Hey Vishal, have you been to Necklace Road, Lumbini Park, Birla Mandir... and Tank Bund? Cool places man, check them out. And don\'t forget to have irani chai, Paradise ka biryani and Karachi ke fruit biscuits.

Thanks for taking in time and writing man! Yep, mez been to most places... Will check out Tank Bund. Been to Paradise... Am yet to have irani chai, though...

for the chai - there one called Blue Sea Hotal - opposite the busstop in secbad. The best out there. Zickack directions: from sangeet x roads go towards secbad station - keep left - u will see a busstop on the right - very crowded - bang opposite - a small \"hotal\" blue sea - just for the heck - stand and have the chai - dont think u will find place to sit anyways!

Depends on where you live - may I ask?
 
Niloufer has good chai, and is near Niloufer Hospital. If you like better things, Barista at Road No 1, and, for paan, Diamond paan shop at Diamond are good.

hey one more thing, do buy sweets from pullareddy sweets shop, abids, station road. And, good biryani can be bought from Pervaz cafe, nampally. final thing do visit to durgam cheruvu, trust me its a great place!!
