With Mounting pressure of War on Iraq and in Gulf region from US and Britain what do you think, What US is doing is right or wrong..Is that will be a war of peace or a war for Oil..? Will we (Indians) or any country including US...allow other country to come and do the samething which US is doing now in Iraq ? What is your opinion about it and what is your role as an Indian ?

I was very happy to hear that India is against the US attacking Iraq. But it was really surprising how India and the US are playing double roles. With the \"War on Terrorism\" in focus - US realised that it needs the support of both rivals India and Pakistan. Pakistan was called the Tactical Ally and India was declared the Natural Ally. It was also surprising that nothing came out of such a declaration. India also has moved away from its Non Alignment Agenda - to significantly support US and contribute to building relationship with the US. The partnership though is only in the private sector and the governments are as hostile as they were before the Clinton-era. I guess, India and US will give lip service to partnership and continue with policies which have been there for a long time.
True. And it\'s also true that most Americans are not aware of most things that cocncern America. Including how their warped foreign policy has caused so much damage to World peace and security. Guys, please visit these page to lodge your protest against the impending US war against Iraq. Thanks.
THERE\'S STILL TIME TO STOP A U.S.-LED WAR ON IRAQ
The Bush administration has sought a U.N. mandate for war, due in large part to mounting domestic and international pressure. Despite U.S. pessimism, Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein has agreed to U.N. weapons inspections, which haven\'t found anything significant so far. It\'s thus still possible that war on Iraq can be averted.
In response to the threat of war, the global peace movement continues to grow. Massive demonstrations continue to be held around the world. Some activists have traveled to Iraq to act as observers and human shields. A peace group in Canada has even committed to sending a group of citizen weapons inspectors to the U.S., holding the country accountable for it\'s double standards about weapons of mass destruction.
As concerned citizens of this world, please do your bit by visiting these sites and registering your concern. Its Iraq and North Korea now, it could be us next… http://www.rootingoutevil.org/index.php3/Home

India\'s policy is always with third world countries. In the last Gulf war India stood with Iraq. These are diplomatic policies.

You look back into history, we find all nations built on WARS ! Funny , nai? Be it for gold or oil or spices or well just abt\' whatever. If the US is going for war with Iraq for oil, so what? Its afterall taking care of that Dictator who has GASSED his own 1/2 a million citizens too, just becasue they were Kurds ! Would we, the Indians, have looked the other way, if Prime Minister Mr. Vajpaye were to have gassed our Muslim/christian brotheren ? Why two different judgements here?!!

Who knows whats right or wrong. The actions of a person who acts like a shakspeare character who is bent upon pleasing his dad or the actions of helpless philanthropists like us who keep screaming on web sites - \"we dont want war!\". Someone on this board mentioned that the people of the US dont understand whats happening around the world - thats very true. But it is also true that most of us have biased or incomplete knowledge helping us to take stands. Think about it.
