Most of the toilets in the States and some European countries do not have water in them .

Actually every toilet in the US and European counties has water, but there's no water inside the cubicle because they don't wash their a$$es with water. However, many Pacific Asian countries have a tube/hose attached to a spray in the inner cubicle.

That is because we are all hopelessly habituated to use water. Me not for using paper rolls, but there is maybe some wisdom in something the Westerners do. They can't be complete idiots.

I think South Indians are Cleaner & Neater than Northies...
what say ppl?

i dunno abt bathing habits but i have noticed that after a meal eaten by hand, most of my North Indian friends simply wipe fingers with a paper napkin and walk away with smelly, sticky fingers and all the south indians head for the wash basin.

Hmm...Maybe Coz Northies are accustomed to eat Dry Roti-Sabzi whereas Southies are more into Idly-Sambhar Things!!!

what dry sabzi...? they gorge on masala gravies like butter chicken, paneer butter masala etc, lick their fingers clean, wipe it on paper and walk out....

Think practically ppl, whats the point of using the fingerbowl if ure going to the washroom anyway?

the main purpose of a finger bowl is to remove the smell n stubborn stain of masala with warm water n lemon....otherwise its just dirty water u r dipping yr fingers into....same as a road side chai walla dipping used glasses in a bucket of brown water to clean them.
