Exactly. Coerciing someone into having *** online is also rape. If the other party is a stranger they will log off, but if he/she is your friend then coercing them into doing something they are not quite ready for should be considered rape.

1. If someone invades privacy and mentally tortures someone, its called molestation. This is not rape. There are laws for this too, but the penalty is not that harsh. Also, this hapens everyday to a lady, from the time she gets up, goes to the bus stand, in office, in the bus and every possible place. People get away with these because Indian sexual laws are not that strong and dont protect woman against indecencies that donot constitute a criminal offense.

2. If someone invades a ladies physical privacy and physically tortures her, Touches her or has sex with her without her consent that this is called statutory rape and is a criminal offense. This has to be proven in the court of law and sometimes people get off after such offenses too.

What is sad is by the Islamic law, for a rape to be called a crime, it has to be proven that four people have seen the crime being commited with their own eyes. I mean if four people saw it what the hell were they doing not protecting the woman. I find this ridiculous!

Even going by the regular laws.. the obvious question comes up "Was the pe**s inserted into the va**na?" Else it is not rape. :shock:

It takes two people for a sex act to happen. Rape is more about physical force. You cant call everything RAPE. It is a big word and has to be used carefully. Online you cannot force anyone to have sex, unless they themselves want to experiment. You guys must have heard of phone sex. The online sex is the same.

On the contrary what would you call this :

"A woman invites a male to her place for a romp. The male takes the bait but refuses to go through with the act, the woman is pissed and tears her clothes and saree, claws the man to get his skin in the nails, smears her bindi and shouts RAPE!RAPE!" What should the male do?

He'd probably be charged with molestation. But if theres no action down there, the woman couldnt say she was raped. Just attacked.

This raises an important question. Why is it that the woman always gets the benefit of doubt in such cases? True...its one's word against another's...but then...hasn't forensic science evolved quite a bit? I might be sounding stupid there...with the forensic science theory...but it was a wild thought in alien territory.

Forensic science has become so advanced that you would be let off quite easily.

ya, Forensics are relevant here in deciding if the accused has actually done it or not. but until the case is decided the accused is always treated as guilty, if not by law, by the people.
