CAT is the Common Admission Test for the Indian Institutes of Management and abt. 50 other mgmt. institutes. Like u have GMAT in the US. But In India there abt. 5-10 different entrance exams. that makes life dfficult for the students.

Hey ycr....which all tests r u givin?
People are crazy, at times are strange. I am locked-in tight, I am out of range.

Yep there are abt 7 entrance tests one has to appear to be considered for admission into any MBA course.I am giving CAT,JMET,MAT,SNAP,XAT & IIFT this year.

Thanx for the wishes.But thatz only the tip of the iceberg.After these exams,If i get a call then there's gonna be Group Interviews,Group Discussions,Case Studies.......Phew!!!!

Mere paas No Doubt ka "Greatest Hits" cd hai that I bought last night on my way home from college. There are these 2 songs that rock!

FYI All Symbiosis colleges (Xcept SIBM) have adopted SNAP as the Entrance test.NMIMS has its own test NMAT which i'm not too keen on appearing.

AS you said,there ought to be ONE entrance test for all colleges.AICTE proposed Five all-india tests to decide the merit list for admissions.But autonomous colleges are carrying out their own exam.To add to the plight of students,two exams (JMET & SNAP) are on the same day but at diff times.A friend of mine had given Hyd as centre for one & Delhi for the other.Poor Guy :roll:

Yeah they are on the same day (12th Dec) but at diff times so that won't be a prob.
