point 1-6 + 8-9 could be taken care of by a series of nice girlfriends, or professional escorts (would still work out cheaper that marrage)

point no. 7, there are about 3 billion too many of us, i'm not sure if we really need to be worried about propagation of the species.

point 10, not sure what you mean.

All in all the only good reason to get married is if you have a double barrel shotgun pointed at the small of your back.

the real 10 reasons people get married

1. Bored with the chase

2. Legal reasons (visa, joint property ownership, etc)

3. Religious/cultural reasons

4. Parental pressure

5. No idea what else to do with life

6. Fear of being alone when old

7. someone to beat around the place when you're feelin down (j/k)

8. Afraid to say "no" when asked

9. Love, i suppose

10. Temporary infatuation mixed with extreme stupidity.

reminds me of a small chutkula:

Wife:What's the matter

Husband:Nothing!

Wife:You've been staring at our Marriage Certificate for the past 2 hours, what's the matter?

Husband:Nothing, i'm just looking for the expiry date

A lifetime of companionship

Stability (financial and emotional).

Kids.
Whenever you can't sleep
May you be treated to a song
And heaven cracks
A song falls softly from the light of heaven.
