No way !! Avoid at all costs!!

Since we had a food dedicated to food that has many of us sinking in a lot of drooool, its better to get the balance by talking about food that makes us wanna puke!

Well people make a list of stuff you have tasted and never want to have again ever!

Tomaro, Tomato, Tomato, Tomato, Tomato, Tomato ...!

by Happy Hyderabadi » Tue May 18, 2004 4:43 pm

Tomato, Tomato, Tomato, Tomato, Tomato, Tomato ...!

* Had been to RR off Brigade Road in B'lore for "Andhra" Meals ... First Came Tomato Pickle, Next Tomato Pappu, Next Tomato - Drumstick Chatni / Curry, Then Tomato -Kakarakaya ("Karela") Curry?! Finally ... (S)topped by Tomato Rasam ... Was expecting Hot Andhra Food ... but got bombarded by the Tomato Tornado ... That too in Food that is called "Andhra" and served by Nellore Reddys ... The Strongest Stomachs Will Throw Up ...

* Up North ... I had to put up with Aloo, Aloo with This, Aloo With That and Even Aloo With Aloo ... and Now the Prospect of More (L)Aloo from the Capital!

No offense meant but eating at muslim weddings makes me puke. Unfortunately, I've attended 4 weddings ever since moving to hyd and 3 of them have been muslim weddings. All I did was to make sure I was the first to pounce on everything available; and never raise my eyes from my plate again. Get up at the first available opportunity and never look back.

In the last five years of my life, I have had an amazing variety of crap. There was this tomato soup I had in Gorakhpur-Bangalore Express that was green (yes, GREEN!) in colour. Then there was this salted fish I had, which was supposed to be the staple curry when the people of Malaysia were fighting for their Independence. That was SALTY! Could not have one tiny bite even with one huge mound of white rice.

And, how can I forget the mess food? During days of my graduation, it took me two months to realise that what I thought was aloo was actually kela! Mil gaya ek bada kela! Mess rasam always tasted and looked like some gutter ka paani. In all fairness though, the dal was excellent.

One word of caution. Whatever you people have, never ever have fish brain. It will make you puke so hard your guts would spew out!

'cause if anything else could taste as bad, the cook needs to be complimented!

Messy (Mal)Nutrition!

IIT Hall of Residence 2, like the Others, had this NV, Veg / Mah and Veg / Guj Messes, 3 in ALL ... I was in the Last ... Bread for Breakfast (Aloo-free Time!], Lunch (With Aloo Assortment, Dal ... ALL Sweet thanks to Guj Choice, apart from Separate Jaggery Lump etc), Tea With Aloo Tikia / Fingers, and ending With Dinner (Aloo Laced!). The Neighbouring Mah Mess had exotic Dishes, like "Varanambar" (unlike the Special "Varan" Dal of Maharashtra OR the Tasty "Sambar" of the South), Watery and without Nutrition ...
