Case closed for Scott Peterson?

by Kimberly » Tue Nov 02, 2004 11:33 am

So far, I’m not impressed with the evidence presented by the prosecution. Yes there’s plenty of circumstantial evidence, but nothing really concrete (no pun intended) to convict him of the charges. It’s a shame because I do feel that he’s guilty as sin, but it just seems that they let the defense have it easy. What I think would have been great to have seen would be Court TV’s anchorwoman, Nancy Grace, against Scott Peterson. From what I’ve read, she has a perfect record of nearly 100 felony convictions at trial – and no losses while she worked as a prosecutor in Atlanta.

What does everyone here think? Do you think we’ll have yet another killer walking free?

Court TV gives the most extensive trial coverage during the day, but I’m at work until 6pm usually. From what I hear though, during the closing arguments (which are scheduled for Monday/Tuesday this week) they are going to give Nancy Grace her own 2-hour show from 6pm-8pm to review that day’s events. That kind of works perfectly for me, and hopefully will give us some insite on what’s going on that courtroom.

Some rich guy who killed his pregnant wife because he thought his child would make him insecure. His lawyer is the same guy who fought MJ's defence last year.

He aint rich, he is just an ordinary guy who may have killed his wife. The jury didnt punish him yet, but the media already made him a criminal and swayed the public opinion against him. Whatever it be, that case doesnt deserve so much attention even in US and certainly not on FH, its just another crime.

that cud be point for the defence to make a case for mis-trial everytime a jury gives a 'guilty' verdict

Scott Peterson was as guilty as the devil. Every single of the 118+ evidences pointed directly at him. It wasnt a surprise to anyone following the case. Killing your unborn child after cutting open your dead wife's stomach???? Yeh insaan hai kya shaitaan ka bachaa??

LOL

Man, some people are interested in the case. I read about it a few times, visited the lacypeterson.com website, and of course felt bad for Laci Peterson and her unborn child. But that was it! I am very surprised though, at the media publicity for this case.

To Aquarian and Kimberly: Have you never read any Hyderabadi newspaper, or even better any Paki daily? How about sparing a word or two for the hundreds/thousands of unborn (female) children who are thrown in gutters in many parts of India.. and our very own gutters near Osmania hospital?

Sorry lonewolf, I will start reading Hyd newspapers (online). Im required to keep up with the latest news as part of my part-time job, which is why I read the American news everyday.

Incidents like killing unborn children happen everyday, everywhere........its the matter of finding the killers.

There is a lack of good quality English Hyderabadi newspapers, especially those that are on the web. Anyway all the best 8)

Its just like when a group of friends meet up and talk about one thing...then meander on to something else and so on and so forth. Very natural.
