Reality,,its here.Accept it. wrote:Hello,
I am relatively very new to the boards but i must say that you people( the users ) got a great thing going here. just wish that i found this site b4. Anyway coming back to the reason i am posting this msg is that i would like to know some information about a few things to do in this city.
First on the list would be information about good book shops, and i mean the ones where u can actually sit down and go thru a book before buying it. ( for example crossword ). and if u know any like that please let me know with a little location detail. and if there are no places like that , atleast let me know the shops where i can get a good collection of books.
Second, are there any groups, clubs or forums where people of similar ideas meet and discuss their favourite topics. for example, sunday evening book club etc etc.
Well these two are on the top of list about which i need some info. hoping to get some responses.
thanks.
Hello there,
I am The Crackednut and have been associated with the FHDB's for around 2 and a half years now. Also i carry the dubious distinction of being the Laziest Cool Hyderabadi around here..

Regarding ur query of a forum for like-minded ppl, i have been regularly attending the sessions of a club called Helix which in brief is something that you have just said. Helix meets every Sunday afternoon and the sessions include a mandatory Book Review by one of the attendants. There are various other activities that Helix members conduct such as GD's, Debates, Elocution etc. Apart from just literary activities there are sessions on quizzing, reverse-pictionary and other group activites. The members of Helix are primarily college students though there is never any rule that says so. Infact there is never any rule at all, but just convention that is followed. As one of the members wd say "Helix is defined as the best place to be on a Sunday afternoon."
In case u r interested to know other details do PM me.
