Are Non-Hyderabadis/Non-Telugu people welcome in Hyderabad

Hello Friends,

I am a south indian guy, outside Andhra Pradesh, working in hyderabad.I find that at most places, where i go, people stare at us, cos we dont speak telugu.When people talk to me in telugu and i say telugu radhu, i feel them chuckling as if exclaiming"poor chap". Its difficult to make friends , so life here has turned boring.
