School girl gang-raped and murdered
 
 in Orissa

 A sixth standard student of the DAV school at Chandrasekharpur, Bhubaneswar has allegedly been raped by some senior students and murdered.
 The leading Oriya daily \'Dharitri\' broke this sensational news that points to an unholy nexus between the school authorities, police officers and senior journalists in suppressing this heinous crime.
 
 As per the report on the Guru Divas day i.e September 5, this crime took place on the roof of the DAV school.
 
 The girl was taken forcibly to the roof by four standard 10 students of the same school. When she screamed, the four rapists pushed her down in panic.
 
 The girl went into a coma after getting severe injuries on her head. She was admitted to a private nursing home in Cuttack, where she died after a month.
 
 On the day of Dussehra, she was declared brought dead to the Kalinga hospital, Bhubaneswar. Sources reveal that more than Rs. 12 lakh was given out in bribes to suppress the scandal which would have given a bad name to the school.
 
 Incidentally, the Principal of the school leaves no stone unturned in publicising the activities of the school and keeping it always in the limelight.
 
 After the incident, the senior police officers were influenced and senior journalists, whose children are studying in the school, were also won over.
 
 A number of parents reveal that although they knew of this crime they did not want to stick their neck out.
 
 The raped and murdered minor girl was the daughter of a SBI officer. But when contacted, the mother said that her daughter took ill on the Dussehra day i.e October 5 and died.
 
 But \'Dharitri\' report says that she seemed to be hiding something out of fear.
 
 The report as well as many parents assert that the parents of the girl were either bought over or there had been some pressure on them leading them not to even file an FIR. It is believed that many students of the school are aware of the crime but are afraid of coming out with the truth.
 
 The sensational report is likely to be a major bone of controversy in the ongoing state assembly sessions.

It\'s terrible , i never saw it on the news(or maybe i missed out on it). Personally i feel if there\'s anyone to blame it\'s the students who committed the crime themsleves.cable channels and magazinces do not propogate crime or encourage people into committing such acts.people who are bad are bad.we have had these incidents even before the invention of the television.

ZC I will do it, Foremost I wil try to take the help of my entire family and friends\' and whomever I can reach through my word of mouth. If the gundas and whoever try to scare me and the rest of my family/friends, I will take the 10th grader SOB\'s to a safe place, operate upon them to remove their \'stuff\' that made them act so and hand it over to each one of them their respective stuff, personally. And you know what ZC, this is the place where I respect Muslim Man. He will remain a man and protect his 6 yr old daughter and the rest of the men in the family will support him to be that MAN. Wish our men too were as courageous and fearless as that and our women supported them to be fearless. Then these bas***** will not dare do such filth with little girls and women.

i do believe media (tv/movies/books) all do contribute in increasing these crimes. yeah!! they dont promote these crimes explicitly. but they do sometimes increase the frustration in ppl. whats most shocking is that the culprits were also kids from the same school. and i think their parents and whosoever responsible in trying to coverup the crime should also be punished severely.

Disgusting and unfortunately these will go on. The punishment for such scum is to surgically remove the offending parts used in the crime. Only then will they think twice before committing such barbaric crimes.
 
 My complete sympathies with this unfortunate family and why the hell are they keeping quiet, what more is there to loose.

God, that\'s disgusting!! What kind of animals would do something like that?? What would make kids do something so horrible?? Maybe it IS the movies that are responsible for such twisted minds, seeing as crime seems so easy to get away with on the silver screen. What kind of values is our society arming our kids with?? It makes me sick...
