Police bust sex ring on girl’s complaint

Hyderabad, Aug. 9: Falaknuma police on Saturday picked up local members of an inter-State gang for abducting girls from the city and forcing them into prostitution in Mumbai.

The prostitution racket was busted following a complaint lodged by a 14-year-old victim from Vattepally in Falaknuma, who escaped from the gangs’ clutches in Mumbai.

According to Falaknuma Assistant Commissioner of Police K Muralidhar Rao, a rickshaw puller, Jaffer had lodged a case stating that his daughter was missing. “However, after three months the girl returned home and told that she was abducted and forced into prostitution racket. She named some locals of the area and others from Mumbai. A special team will be sent to Mumbai to verify the facts and nab the accused,” Muralidhar said.

Police registered a case under Section 366 (A) forcing minor into prostitution, 372 IPC for selling minor girl to brothel.

“The girl had stated that she was kept in a guest house in Mumbai. She has been sent to hospital for medical tests. Her physical fitness and age will be determined,” Rao said adding that “there are certain loose ends in the case. It’s not clear how she escaped from Mumbai.”

Special teams will be dispatched to Mumbai for further investigations.

Falaknuma Inspector Ramanjeneyulu is investigating the case. South Zone DCP Harish Kumar Gupta is monitoring the investigation.

Police are very nice... are they wrongly projected in movies

Police are nice as long as the case is not against
1. Influential members of the society
2. Neta/babu/judge/pandu(police)
3. No money is involved

Criminal cases are exception. But one thing is true, Indian movies project police as very corrupt and evil which is not always necessarily true. Give them good wages and human like treatment from superiors then corruption levels will definitely come down.
May the Fries be with you!
