Not interested in politics - I don\'t know how far it will fetch him and his party, but going to poor people and meeting them personally will always help out, thats a good move.

Well, YSR is known for Bombs!!! How far he can change his profile as a people\'s leader has to be seen. Already TPS is not happy with him. If he mellows down his radical attitude and tries to do some thing other than promise FREE POWER to farmers... I may ask him why can\'t free power be given to traders and weaker sections?

10 reasons for padyatra: (1) Elections are about a year away. It is not unusual for hyper-political activity to peak at this time; (2) YSR needs a reason to be APCC Leader - from Sonia\'s perspective. That is called job security; (3) Nothing else to do - remember these guys are stinking rich; (4) YSR needs to compensate for lack of 4-years worth of performance; (5) He needs to loose weight; (6) He needs to find who can suckup to him real good so that they can get MLA tickets; (7) It is summer vacation for him; (8) Other places of AP are better than Rayalaseema - you think it is hot?? go stay in Cuddapah/Chittor for a week; (9) He needs to find a reason to fire \'non-performers\' in Congress - sadly that is Sonia but he can\'t do anything; (10) Lastsly, he needs to pay back Deccan Chronicle for all the free PR it has been giving him.

10 reasons for padyatra: 
(1) Elections are about a year away. It is not unusual for hyper-political activity to peak at this time; 
- Not before 18 months. Nobody will lose all their weapons before the fight. 

(2) YSR needs a reason to be APCC Leader - from Sonia\'s perspective. That is called job security; 
- He is the CLP leader, not APCC. And FYI, he resigned from the APCC post earlier to have only one post (CLP leadership) 

(3) Nothing else to do - remember these guys are stinking rich; 
- Definitely not richer than any of the Naidus. 

(4) YSR needs to compensate for lack of 4-years worth of performance; 
- He has always fought for people, be it either the Congress rule or the TDP rule 

(5) He needs to lose weight; 
- He is not overweight 

(6) He needs to find who can suckup to him real good so that they can get MLA tickets; 
- For that he needn\'t go into the villages. He can sit in Hyd and good suckers will come there like the ones coming for other parties.
 
(7) It is summer vacation for him; 
- In the mid-summer heat no one goes for a pada yatra, unless you are so determined for people.
 
(8) Other places of AP are better than Rayalaseema - you think it is hot?? Go stay in Cuddapah/Chittor for a week; 
- He lives in Hyderabad.
 
(9) He needs to find a reason to fire \'non-performers\' in Congress - sadly that is Sonia but he can\'t do anything; 
- Now the Congress is ruling 14 states. I don\'t know who gets the credit.
 
(10) Lastly, he needs to pay back Deccan Chronicle for all the free PR it has been giving him. 
- He has never been on good terms with DC. Maybe you pointed it on caste basis, but DC supports the faction (Mysoora Reddy) which is against YSR.

Who is the right opposition for BJP in Center and TDP in State...the only alternative is Congress. Now, it looks to many people as a desperate attempt, but i think now the face of politics is changing. Leaders are realising the importance of going to people and talking to them. Everyone knows they don\'t have second life and YSR is one who is struggling since long time for his time to rule the state. He is in right direction to earn some credit, but his aggressive talk doesn\'t give him leverage. The talk of free power is BS and we all know it is not possible. So eduacated people know what is happening, the only gain will be a mass votes that he may gather if he keeps the momentum till election. It will definitely help YSR.

And, when it comes to who is the better leader - it is a different story.

YSR padayatra is just a political stunt since elections are coming up. I don\'t understand why the Congress is still entertaining him. Forget about YSR being a good leader, he can\'t even be a good human being.
