Buying Property in "Hyderabad" - Is it worth!!

Hey guys I would like to know if owning property in gen Hyderabad is worth as of now?
***Pls reply taking into consideration:
1. Trffic.
2. Pollution.
3. People.
I have been living in U.S for the past 25 Yrs.
As i am now accustomed to living in U.S and find opinions of those who just migrated very intresting!

Are you kidding Krishna.
Dude do you think that i would be able to drive my spider there without hitting those crazy speed bumps and horrible traffic???
We have over here \"\"MILES\" and the crazies over there have \"\"kms\"\".
YOU CANT EVEN DRIVE 40MLS IN THAT CRAZY ATMOSPHERE PAL!!
Stay where you are and enjoy.
Hyd is just good for visiting and having fun from time to time.
U.S is the PLACE MY MAN TO LIVE!!

krishna , we r also in the same boat , believe me , first month you may find it hard , but then u will really enjoy in hyd , there is so much there which is not here man, actually speaking there is nothing here , only those who has extreme passion for money and status can stay in some foreign land.i reallt regret for leaving hyd , i dint achieve anything here , leaving everybody there , incld the life there.u have taken the best decision. i have seen so many parents (not the materialistic ones who send their kids abroad for their status) crying for their children who are no way interested in coming back to india

krishna , we have bought an apt in the khairatabad area and its rate has increased by 25% of it value in the last couple of yr. Real Estate is the most profitable in hyd today.u have to trust me in this matter

Krishna, Your decision is the right one. It is true that for a year or two you will miss U.S. but then you will find the culture and all those who really \"LOVED\" you and all your old friends and the old lanes again.

Krishna, owning a property and moving to Hyd\'bad are tow very different things. You can spend $50 to 80,000 and buy a nice villa in Banjara Hills or Jubilee Hills. But, I wonder how many of your friends, relatives or even acquaintances are here after 25 years of your non-residency. When we go on vacations, the situation is entirely different. You don\'t have to worry about a lot of things. But once you are there for \"good\", you will see the real difference between US and Hyd\'bad. I suggest you first move to a rented house and stay there for say 4-6 months, before taking a decision on moving there for \"good\" or buying property. Good luck!!

i think what ali hyderabadi has said is quite practical-afterall staying 25yrs away from hyd-u too might have changed a lot consiously or unconsiuosly-i seriously doubt whether u will like the hyderabad of today-no doubt it didnt change much-but still.........

Well!!! Krishna now that you have heard so many people saying so many things what do u think?? First thing is that whether are u asking only about the property or the living conditions also? When it comes to buying a property, I can say its real worth buying a property in Hyderabad but it also depends on the location where you buy the property. There are places where the appreciation of property value has come to a stand still as there cannot be hardly any more development in that area. I guess u understand what I say right? I mean the property rates have already saturated in some places. You have to buy property in such a place where you get for cheap and as things improve property value will go up very fast. This is all about buying when you only take into consideration,the commercial factors.But if you are planning to buy a house and settle in there then you should take into consideration lot of other factors like water supply, drainage and the neighbourhood. To know these things I guess you have to live in a few considerable places for some time and then buy a house where you like

Dear Madhu,
Currently we own a brick type custom ranch in U.S. My plan is to sell this and settle in Hyd with my family. As my children are growing up I am naturally taking into consideration their education and the effect of culture and moral values , as i believe they should have a sound and strong foundation of all the traditions and you know what.But if i stay here no doubt the ed is excellent but the effect of U.S on their lives is not what Indian Parents would like.
I really appreciate all of you guys trying to help me out.

Dear Mr Ali,
You are right in some sense, but I hope you can understand when you are married and you have the ability to go any where and your wife does not have a licence and then she misses talking to her friends and all of our indian people as we live in a white neighbourhood.All these factors play an important role in your decisions to move.
As for me i have not changed a bit and i still am the same old same ol .

Hi Krishna great view on proprety in ur board, but i\'m lookin for something different, i\'m lookin for investment property. how is the situation there, do u h\'v any real estate guys who will take care of the property and colect the rent and maintain the property. Can v pay initial money and take the rest from bank. Appreciate if someone can answer this query of mine.

I have inherited a residential parcel in Gopanpally village in the Rangareddy District of Hyderabad. I live in the U.S. and have never been to Hyderabad. I have no idea how it might be worth. Could anyone please enlighten me as to the values in the area and what it in the neiborhood, etc. All I know that it is located somewhere behind the University (don\'t know which University).
