hi all, i want information about call centers operating in hyderabad. I want to know how many call centers are there and what they specialise in. any information would be deeply appreciated.

I can\'t tell you how many, but I can tell you what they specialize in, they primarily are providing customer support to customers of US companies like Dell, HP and GE. The support is typical product based Tier 1 or sometimes Tier 2 support. Ofcourse, these business are Indian companies but rely on contracts from these huge US companies. It will be $25 Billion industry over the yrs in Hyd alone. I have recently read an article which said even some big US financial institutions have outsourced their support to call centres in Hyd. If needed, I can also eloborate on how this works.

Call center is a place where you will call for support on a product you purchased which could be a computer, a bank account or a insurance policy.

thank u very much for the information. i need specific information on the number of call centers and the type of business they are doing (technical and sales etc). i am interested in knowing the different call centers and the heirarchy they adopt in operating those call centers. once again thank you for your reply. hope to get some more information on this aspect...

Information on call centers is given very well here. I want to work in GE in hytech city. Can anyone tell me whatz the procedure to go for coz I\\\'ve heard it\\\'s very difficlt.help!
