How shameful it is for every Indian that in this civilized world, frustrated fanatics like RSS leaders openly try to spoil the communal harmony of our country by issuing provocative statements and the worst part is the BJP government\'s inability to punish them. What an impotent government we have in the center which is full of bias against minorities. In order to restore peace and communal harmony of India RSS & VHP must be banned for ever and their leaders must be arrested under POTO.

The RSS, VHP and even BJP leaders promote hatred and inflamatory speeches. I am ashamed to be called and Indian in the US. Everyone here asks why Indian Hindus who are supposed to be the followers of Gandhian priciples of non-violence have gone wild in burning, raping and killing innocent people who had nothing to do with what happened in Gujrat. Most importantly, we learnt also that the Train incident that started this killing orgy was entirely the fault of VHP and Hindu extremists who were bent upon starting the fight. It is a shame we call ourself a democracy with equal right and protection for all.

RSS And VHP esp. the like of Ashok Singhal and others massterminded the riots of Ahmedabad where innocent people lost their lives. Whats was their falt..... Being a Muslim??? Is VHP and RSS trying to subjugate the muslims. NO WAY This will never happen... If any muslim does a riot or something of this kind he is labeled as a terrorist.. Does Gujrath need similar lesson from Bombay blast, if individuals take up the LAW and spread disorder, no military/police can control it. If individuals spread damage silently, like burning the buses/trains without any one noticing, damaging the electric transformers and other govt utilities by dumping acid/petrol bombs. The police/military will be insufficient to control them. These muslims will do something silently. Get rid them off, like Israel is doing to Palestinians to other muslim countries, then they will be right.

It is no doubt that Sangh Parivar\'s flames of hatred, that has engulfed Gujarat now, can burn the entire nation. They claim or rather boast that they represent majority. This is no truth in this. The only agenda they have is to exploit the religious sentiments of the common man, convert it into political power for themselves, then rob the country economically, ethically, constitutionally. The other point these organizations are making is that people who have ruled the country during the last 5-10 centuries have plundered it. This is again a big lie and well-known history books deny that.

It it high time all Indians with positive approach to come forward and act. It is said that silence is consent. I am sure that a vast majority of Indians are broad-minded people. It is the silence and inactiveness of these people which is also partly responsible for the grim state-of-affairs. It is high time that every Indian asserts itself as a citizen of forward-looking progressive democracy, before it is too late.

Can you get rid of them? In addition, they are as much Indian as you are. Unless we learn to respect human life, tolerance for others we cannot prosper. You may say \"Get rid of them economically\". Again this will hurt other Indians as much. It is said that property worth Rs 5,000 crore has been burned in Gujarat. Personally, it may have belonged to \"them\", but it was part of national wealth. Kumar you are absolutely right, we have to spread love at boards like this, but then where should the innocent sufferer go to show his grievances, his sufferings caused due to sheer hatred by the ruling government and its pillars (RSS & VHP) for no reason.I started this discussion not to spread hatred but to have a common sensible approach against communal elements who are now dictating the government in power. Sensible people like you and me should discourage such barbaric acts of terrorism which is burning our country.RSS & VHP must understand and try to digest this fact that they can\'t DRIVE OUT muslims from this country. They can only disturb the PEACE of India and such act should be condemned and perpetrators must be brought to justice,so RSS & VHP must be banned for ever if India needs peace. Moreover, let me make it clear that Gujarat carnage is not the result of Hindu retaliation, it was infact started by Karsevaks at godhra station when they refused to pay the bill to a Muslim shop owner and misbehaved with his daughter. Eighty-six-year-old Ramanandi Vaishnav Saint Akshay Brahmchari is one person who can turn the tables on the Vishwa Hindu Parishad by debunking the very basis of its claim on the Rama Janma Bhoomi complex in the court of law. He has closely witnessed Ayodhya developments since 1936.
Old and frail Brahmchari, who was a witness to the surreptitious placement of Lord Ram idols inside the Babri Mosque in the intervening night of December 22/23, 1949, has several cogent arguments to counter VHP claim on the disputed complex. They are:


The Ramajanma Sthan temple already exists in the Ramkot area, for the maintenance of which the Nawab of Avadh had donated Sarai Shekhar village in the Chinhat area and for aarti, Moharrumpur village in Ayodhya. The village is today known as Aarti.
Along with the Janma Sthan temple exists the Ram Gulela Sthan (where Ram used to play), Vashishth Kund, (he received his education) Ratna Simhasan, (from where he ruled) and Rang Mahal, (where he used to relax) besides Sumitra Bhawan, Kop Bhawan, Dashrath Mahal, Kaushalya Bhawan.

Of the 52 Dwaracharyas among Ramanandi Vaishnav, Deo Murari ji constructed the Janma Sthan temple, along with Janaki Kunj and Laxman Ghat, on the eastern side of the Babri Mosque about 400 years back. There was no dispute on the birthplace of Lord Ram then and a 41-foot wide road divided the Babri Mosque from the Janma Sthan temple. All were shown in the map of Ayodhya, which the local pandas (tourist guides) used to carry. Now their maps should the entire complex as Rama Janma Bhumi complex.


The idols were secretly shifted from Ram Chabutara (in the periphery of the Mosque) inside the Babri Mosque. A month-long yagya was held. Ground was levelled after demolishing several ‘majars’ including the famous Kazi Kidwai ki Mazar.
\"I personally spoke to the DM, Chief Secretary, Home Minister, Lal Bahadur Shastri and Chief Minister, Govind Ballabh Pant. Wrote several letters to them demanding restoration of the Babri Mosque. In fact I even tried to persuade the Sadhus who were chanting Sita Ram bhajan to remove the idols in the interest of the nation. They agreed but the then DM, KK Nayyar whose gameplan it was said ‘ the chief secretary has asked us to maintain status quo till the return of CM’. But by evening pamphlets were distributed all over Ayodhya on ‘ ram lalla prakat huye’. The entire programme was the brainchild of KK Nayyar, Mahant Avaidhnath and Bhaorao Deoras, who wanted to establish RSS in Ayodhya. Twice Brahmchari went on a fast. Brahmchari, who was in Congress then and twice held indefinite fast in the UPCC office here has lot of axe to grind against the then Congress leaders.


Goswami Tulsidas, who touched every aspect of Lord Ram’s life, would have been 31 years old in 1528 when the Babri Mosque is reported to have been built after demolishing the temple. Why didn\'t Tulsidas mention the existence of the temple in Ramcharit Manas? Further, there is no Ram temple in the country which more than 500 years old. Only the Ramanandi Vaishnavs who consider Ram as supreme god constructed Ram temples. For VHP and RSS, Lord Ram is only a ‘ mahapurush’.

The plaint and map submitted by Nirmohi Akhara in support of their claim on the temple at Ram Chabutara has shown Babri Mosque separately. Even Nirmohi Akhara admits temple existed outside the Babri Mosque.

Namaaz was offered in the Babri Mosque till the evening of December 22, 1949, which is contrary to the VHP’s claim that no namaaz was being offered in the Babri Mosque. On an average about 15 to 20 Muslims used to offer namaaz every day, though their numbers used to swell to 300 to 400 on Fridays.
Brahmchari is living in oblivion here at Chinhat, but has not as yet given up his crusade for the restoration of the Babri Mosque. He last wrote to Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on November 16,2000 in which he demanded reconstruction of the Babri Mosque at the same site, albeit if needed after taking court permission and thereafter wait for the court verdict.

You are absoultey right about \"Love\" that must always be propagated among human beings. PEACE and LOVE are the only words that are at the heart of every religious book. Defence for self-protection is definately important and cross all the boundaries of living organisms. In the context of recent killings in Gujrat: A person has the right to ask for money for the food he sold at the Godhra train station; his protest against the BRUTALS (who not only refused to pay the money for his services but also snatched away his daughter and locked her up in the bogey) is absolutely right. The mob\'s attack on the bogey and putting that on fire is RUTHLESS. Following this event, the killing spree in Gujrat is BARBARIC.
These kind of crazy people are everwhere in the world. They claim they belong to a religion; I doubt. These idiots carry a name that link them up to a particular religion but in reality all of them are ILLITERATES/IGNORANT about their religion. You seem to be suggesting that it is about time that the \'bad Hindus\' in India start learning from the \'good muslims\' everywhere. I am all for it. Excellent approach to solve all of India\'s problems in a jiffy. I am really excited about the potentialities of this simple yet powerful solution. I propose that the \'bad Hindus\' in India seek the guidance of their \'good Muslim\' brethren immediately. The \'bad Hindus\' need to identify the best of the Muslim countries in order to simply adopt the lvel of help and kindness that \'good Muslim\' outinely dish out to fakirs in that country as the standard for the level of loving-kindness that \'bad Hindus\' should routinely practice towards their \'good Muslim\' brethren in India. I dare even suggest that the Gujarathi Hitler - Sri. Modi - and his entire cabinet go to Saudi Arabia and learn real \'good Muslim\' loving-kindness towards fakirs in that country and adopt the same in Gujarat. This, I am sure will satisfy the \'good Muslim\' fears based on the unfulfilled dream of M.K.Gandhi - \'The Hindus should not be afraid of death. After all, the killers will be none other than our Muslim brothers.\"

The real problem is - a minority of Indian Muslims dreaming about a theocratic Indian state providing fodder to Hindu fears held by a minority of Hindus.

The real danger is, the silent majorities in both communities continue to subscribe to obvious explanations, the time to own up to our sins of ignorance may not be too far away.
