TO BE CAREFUL AT YERCAUD

Hi!



I would like to bring to notice a certain INSULT that we have subjected

to at the Mantford convent and Church, Yercaud.



Recently I went to Yercaud for the second time in this year.



Tamilnadu State Tourism department introduces Montford School and Convent AT Yercaud as one of the tourist places of interest.

But We had a horrible experience and insult there.

We went to the Convent and School premises at about 0945 hrs on 9th October 2005.

The watchman (Gate Keeper) stopped us on the gate itself.

We told him gently that we are the tourists, willing to have the glimpse and worship at Montford Church and the School.

The gatekeeper spoke to us in a very rude manner.

I explained to him that I have already worked with the Montford institution earlier.

He asked me in an insulting way.

ARE YOU WORKING WITH THE INSTITUTION RIGHT NOW?

I gave him back nicely.

Still this incident left some wound in my mind.



My suggestion for the tourists and FH readers is to be little careful with these types of places/Institutions.



My next suggestion is that, the Tamilnadu state government (INDIA) should not mention the name of MONTFORD SCHOOL AND CONVENT as a TOURIST PLACE of interest.



They can better remove the name.

I'm sorry about the bad experience you had. It was very nasty of the gatekeeper to behave like that. He is just an employee there and does not represent the Montfort convent. I'm sure the parish or management will do something about this when they know about it.



You should complain to the Montfort management about this idiot. If the management is really serious about attracting tourists, the least they can do is sack him and offer you an apology.

I know this must be an individual error.
For your info, I had worked with Catholic institutions.
I was working as Medical officer in catholic missionary hospitals run by the Nuns (Sisters) during the years 1997 to 1999.
In fact in the year 1999 I was appointed and made as permanent employee of a Catholic missionary hospital.
During those days I had come across the montford congregation too.

You should complain to the Montfort management about this idiot

On that day one of my friends who accompanied me got boiled. He decided to make phone calls to the Father of that convent immediately.

But unfortunately we had no time. We had left with only 6 hours. We had to cover all tourist places of Yercaud on that day.

Unfortunately we dint know the phone no of the institution.

We waited there for some time. May be 15 minutes.

Some of young schoolboys were passing buy.

Finally we decided to forget and swallow the wound.

We left that BA***RD with out any complaint.



If you inform this incident to the management and if it finds some solution it is fine.



I will be trying to inform Tamilnadu State Tourist Department about this incident.



My aim is in future no tourists should get insulted.

I understand that you had time constraint at that moment, so its. But later on, you HAVE to do something about it so that incidents like this don't happen again. Its good that you don't want future tourists to be insulted the same way.



Start with the management and send them an email. PM me their email address if you have it so I'll email them too. If they don't bother to reply, move to the next level.

yeah i have heard abt ths school.....and if i've not mistaken is it the school whre vikram studied...wen i went to yercaud bfore 3 yrs i couldn't visit ths school...but i love YERCAUD...lovely place
