Yahoo bolsters e-mail storage to 1GB

while google increasing the inbox space every second, its competitor, yahoo is planning to make the box size to 1 gb which is less then googles present mailbox size.



i was surprised to see this link on yahoo mail page..

i think google should go online to putdown all the other mail services!!!



one more new feature for yahoo box is the search mail feature.. ofcourse a copy from google again. Yahoo is planning to do this by the end of april or may first week. Hope this brings some josh in hotmail tooo

Wow thats good news.But still does it really make a big differrence.Most of the important mail are usually text mails which are small in size.But I still feels yahoo cannot beat Google because google has many options which Yahoo lacks in.

google is gogole times better then yahoo!



google mail space keeps on increasing now its abt 2080 MB which yahoo can never offer infact, not mail service can offer.



hotmail has highest number of users but the technology they are using sucks now. its taking years to upgrade their clients mailbox space????!!!

Just checked my Gmail account.Didnt realize that they increased the space.Let those two fight for Inbox Space.

There's a Tweak available off the net that makes ur Hotmail Inbox to

Initially 25 MB and Subsequently 250 MB.For that u Jus' have to wait a

couple o' days and not Until Those M$ guys decide to grant u the promised

space!!!



For that tweak,u need to change some Address Settings and it also involves

CLosing Down ur Hotmail A/c.But REst Assured,No mails are Lost in the

Process (ATleast I did'nt Lose any of My mails) Now All 4 of Hotmail A/c's

are 250 MB in Size........

This article is for all those who are addicted to their HOTMAIL accounts and/or cannot change their HOTMAIL email address 'cause they have given it to many PPL..



NOTE : Please only try it at your own risk. Don't be angry if it causes any damage! If there are any important e-mails in your account please backup them before proceeding. It has worked for me and this trick has also worked for a large amount of other people. But some people report that it didn't work for them.. None of my emails were deleted..



DO SHUT UR MSN MESSENGER WHILE THESE STEPS ARE GOING ON



Anyway, here are the steps:





1) First go to your Hotmail account and log in.



2) Then click on OPTIONS --> PERSONAL --> MY PROFILE



3) You need the adjust the country to United States and the state to Florida (postal code 33332). (it could be that other states also work)



4) Then Sign out



5) Then go to http://memberservices.passport.net/memb ... rf?lc%2043.



6) Click on the link " Close my .NET Passport account". Then you need to SIGN IN AGAIN and then click on the button "Contact Hotmail" and click on "close my account".



7) Close Internet Explorer / Firefox and go to hotmail.com and log in again.



8 ) Reactivate ur Account and follow step..



9) Normally you should have a 25MB account now. Soon it will be upgraded to 250MB!







Hope it works for everyone!!



I tried it on 4 HOTMAIL E-Mail ID of mine and friends.. and All WORKED



I got 25 MB instantly and in a few days 250 MB

Do you ever go above 20MB?I think I never went over 15MB,I have started deleting all those jokes and stuff I get in my mail.

my Yahoo Inbox has never Dipped Below 65% since abt 6 Months I guess....

getting a tweak is not a bif deal.. what i am looking for is Hotmail shld do it by itself!!

Yeah Thats True.Initially I had received a mail saying that pretty soon

all Hotmail a/c's will be upgraded.But Even after months of waiting,when

there was nothing,I shot off a mail to them and I got back a Reply

ensconed in the politest words saying you know how hotmail has the

largest no. os users and how timetaking the process is and urging me to

have patience and all that stuff.



But even after some weeks,when nothing was being done,I got sick of waiting

and employed the tweak.I know that's a Underhand way but is definitely

not illegal.
