Also check out the cargo handling cmpanies if its a hell lot of shawls.

it kind of works out cheaper. the offices would be located near the cargo division of he airport, i guess in the lane next to Shoppers stop (begumpet)...

Dunno if its fed ex and DHL, but one of them has a plan which charges 6000 Rs for 10 KG to US. Will be cheaper for UK.

when on the same topic , how long does it take for a package to reach the USA by speedpost and how reliable is it.?

The reliability isssu e comes up coz once a friend of mine sent an applicatiom to the US and it ended up in south africa. He was lucky that the person who recieved it was kind and courtious enough to call him and ask him what to do with this package she found in her mailbox.:). so how reliable is each of them?

sale/purchase of pashminas are actually illegal in india now...so do not declare what yr shawl is made of....and get a better informed opinion on the legalities first.

i had sent a package to a remote town in phillipines last yr and it took 5 working days to reach. UK shud be faster.

abt tariff, Speedpost wud be the cheapest but cannot say when it wud reach.

u can spk to ppl at the DHL counter at Cyber Towers for more info
wtf? i no longer care if my posts hurt yr feelings

well i meant pashmina in a generic sense, not one actually made out of pashmina wool. just a cheap silk/wool mix shawl really.

thanks for the info guys. anyone know how speedy speedpost is?

well..i have sent a few parcels abroad via speedpost and never had any problems...but it might take abt 3-5 days more than the regular private courier services.

speedpost being govt. owned n all dat, u can expect how it wud work...but its not bad at all...in some unlucky cases there cud be prolonged delays, but i am sure it wud reach the destination.

I could be wrong but it is illegal to buy/sell shahtoosh (an endangered wild Tibetan antelope) not pashmina.
