Virgin at 25?

Is Virginity Cool? I dont think its such so fashionable anymore around the world to be a virgin when youre in your twneties. Times have changed and with people exploring their sexulaity at a much younger age, virginity is not something which is so cool anymore..on the other hand its possibly a big hinderance to having a normal married life if most people you meet around you have experienced sex as teenagers and you are still a virgin. I know for a fact that in the west..people frown upon you if youre a virgin at 19..forget being in the twenties. Anyway whats the big deal about virginity..I think its cool not to be..Virginity is far too overrated in India. I know the first time you do it is perhaps the worst time for most people because you dont know what the hell you are upto. Anyway that a whole another story. Tell me what you think guys and gals..

In America its very uncommon to find virgin teenagers. Heck, there are 12-13 yr old mothers here.

But lately, to avoid unwanted pregnancies and STD's, abstinence is being encouraged. Its easier said than done though.

I dont believe that virginity isnt "fashionable" anymore. Its a personal choice and a lot of people dont indulde their carnal desires (pre-maritally)for religious reasons.

I am sure this topic has been beaten to death.. but I will add my two YEN to that anyway.

Alexis: The Virginity you define is biological. Sex is as much in the mind as much as it is with the body. The mind is the first step and the it is the body. I beleive kids loose their virginity with the harmless sounding "birds and the bees" lecture or the first hustler/playboy magazine.

The biological virginity is a weapon/ a prize used by women to lure the right prey. I dont think it is cool, when women say "I am preserving my virginity for my man". It like... "Look at me; I come with this cool prize.. my VIRGINITY." :roll:

I believe if a woman thinks she ought to be virgin for her man it's only for her to know. I dont think she should strut it around with "A holier than thou attitude!"

2 hunters meet in a forest lodge and start chatting about their exploits over drinks.

First hunter says: "y'know i specialize in trapping Unicorns... "

Second hunter: :shock:

"Unicorns!!?? How do u do that??"

First hunter: "well....i find a virgin girl and tie her to the tallest oak tree. soon the Unicorn would come for her and then its a cake walk for me to trap it."

Second hunter: :shock:

"WOW! must be real hard to find one..."

Why is everyone bothered about how "cool" virginity is? Its not a tag that u carry aroud ur neck. Its a personal choice that u make (of course, in some cases, choice by lack of opportunity

). Ppl may find it uncool if u dont do dope, doesnt mean u need to do it, just to be cool. Its your life and your choice. Anyways its not a big (t)issue

I am from the West...I am Canadian and I was a virgin into my twenties and noone ever made me feel bad for abstaining. After I had sex for the first time, however, I was deeply shocked and dissappointed...I couln't believe I had made such a big deal out of being a virgin. I felt the same after sex as I did before sex...still the same person!!! Historically there have been many rules and punishements against girls and woman for having sex before marriage...girls were taught to feel proud of being a virgin and shameful if they lost it. It was all culturally made so that children were not being born out of wedlock. Woman bared the burden of remaining virgins because they stayed close to home and with the babies. Men always worked away from home and children so to track their where abouts was not as easy, and men were given less punishments for not being a virign. Still, if you look back in history there have always been orphanages and woman hacing sex before marriage because it is natural for woman as well to have a desire and urge for sex. Even when culture and society has imposed harsh punishments the urge and lust for love and sex did not stop women from playing out their fantasies. Sex is way too overrated, but I do believe both men and woman have a responsibilty to use their brain and protect themselves from sexually transmitted diseases and from getting pregnant and bringing poor children into this world when they were not really wanted. Men and woman have the responsibilty together.

Virginity is a total diff. issue in india and in the West!

in india, its considered "pure" n "decent"

wheras in the WEST..... if a gal is virgin... she wud be labled "lesbian" and a guy being virgin cud be branded "guy without a willy"!

so u see.... virginity being cool or not.... its nothign to be "cool" abt...n nothing to be "hot" about..... jus a matter of ones personal life....

in the first place...why the hell do ya wanna open ur big mouth letting ppl know u a "virgin" or a "non-virgin" ?????
