Yeah, we do get those here. My professor actually mentioned a place where I could buy a brandless computer. They supposedly last longer.



Anyway, the DELL technician is supposed to be coming in a while now. :roll: I hope all my documents can be salvaged since it ts all college work that needs to be submitted soon!

biggest advantages of brandless or assembled PCs are 1- they r cheap and 2- we can have them configured/customized to our requirements. the branded ones are suppossed have good after sales service but they follow some crazy "process" (another term for red tape) that can delay things (like in yr case). unbranded PC sellers generally are more prompt and rarely have big paper work to complete. if u ask nicely, they'll be there to look at the PC at any time! :)



btw, dont diss Dell PCs in FHDB. someone here has recently started woking for Dell, marketing their PCs...;)

Your still in school rite?So do to a computer science student and ask him what stuff to buy,he will give you a list.Then get the stuff from ebay(Some parts are like half the pricee on ebay especially RAM),then you can ask him to assemble it,dunno about your univ but this is the system at mine. :D Many of my CS friends make some money this way. :D

:lol: :lol: What happened to your comp? :? If its hardware problem then they have to come and fix it,if its software you can do it yourself,Just pop in the CD's(Quick Restore CD's),its self explanatory. :D

Cool.Ungerground was awesome,if you like U1 then you will love U2,its like GTA,have to drive from place to place to take driving missions and the graphics are simply awesome. :D Well UT2004 is almost same as UT2003,not much difference.



I am more of a FPSG fan because I love the gore in them.I am waiting for Max Payne 3 right now.



Anyway HL2 is awesome,the physics engine is completely new and its smooth,no interuptions like Doom3,doom 3 was kinda slow.I have a 256MB Geforce 5800 card and I am just getting 55FPS. 8) 8) 8) :D

Me too Like FPS & Racing Games.I Enjoyed Hitman 1&2,IGI 1&2,Max Payne 1&2,Serious Sam 1&2,Quake III Arena,UT,Unreal....
